"All units converge to the building once known as 'The Last Laugh.' The entire structure has just collapsed in on itself. It is unknown if there was anyone inside, or if there was, if there are any survivors."

My blood seemed to freeze as I listened to the police reports while in the Batmobile. That had been where Bruce and Jason were facing each other! It had collapsed?! While they were fighting?

Getting out of the 'Mobile, I quickly activated it's security system before making my way back to where there had previously been a building at. I made sure to activate the communications system in my mask at the same time.

"Nightwing...if you can hear this, get to downtown Gotham immediately! Batman was just fighting Jason at The Last Laugh building when it collapsed on itself due to a number of explosions! I'm gonna see if I can get them out!"

Not waiting for a response, I arrived at the scene of the battle, silently hoping one of the Titans could make it as well, but...!

A gloved hand suddenly shot out of the debris, and fingers were soon wrapped around my throat! Seconds afterward, Jason fully emerged from where he'd been buried, and from the contorted look on his face, he truly looked pissed off!

He had trapped me...! Despite his repeated insistence that he didn't kill, he deliberately led me here to bury me alive when the damned building collapsed!

I heard the sounds of a current hero, and despite having boards and some bricks across my back, only one thought ran through my head-revenge!

I reached my hand up from the ground and grabbed ahold of Tim's neck, almost positive I'd wrapped it around his larynx. A second or so later, I used a burst of strength and freed myself from my temporary grave, a look of anger on my face.

"Tell me, Tim..." I snarled lightly while keeping the hold on my successor's neck tight and secure.

"...You think Stephanie's feeling lonely down in Hell? My opinion, she'd just love some company, and since I don't plan on going six feet under anytime soon...!"

Dick hadn't even hesitated when the message came through. He was already in his Nightwing suit and on the motorcycle. He started the engine and flew off in a burst of speed-- thank God for engine overclock.

He just hoped he would get there before something seriously bad happened...

I knew Jason was taunting me, but I would show him that no one messed with one of Gotham's protectors, or one of the Titans...!

Managing to pull a Batarang from my belt, I quickly slashed it across his arm, dropping to the ground and coughing; I tried to regain my breath while hearing his roar of frustration and anger. He hadn't expected a retaliation like that from me so soon, possibly.

Unfortunately, I would have to be ready for anything he could dish out, since it looked like he had his second wind...!

((Alright. Until then! (grins)))

I roared loudly when feeling Tim's Batarang rake across my arm and silently cursed myself once more. I should've knocked him out first, then put him out of his misery!

Dropping him to the ground, I quickly revealed my knife, and allowed a smirk to cross my face. Weapon against weapon, Robin against Red Hood...the rematch, so to speak.

"Think you can truly dance with the big boys, Tim?"

I allowed a faint grin to cross my face while brandishing the Batarang upward in a defensive stance towards Jason.

"If you can use a saying as corny as that one, Jason, then yeah-I can dance with the best of them."

Seconds later, my 'Rang collided with his knife and we only pulled apart when I took a chance and threw a punch at his face; it connected, and Jason growled lightly before responding in kind.

Sticking my Batarang in his arm-after I'd grabbed ahold of it-I pulled him forward and punched him again, but that gave him the chance to grab me and send me flying into a pile of debris!

I ignored the pain running through my body, pulled out my staff once more and extended it. I couldn't let my guard down around him-not even once!

I spat out blood from my mouth, thanks to Tim's two unprovoked shots to my face and chuckled lightly when I'd sent him flying into some debris. Pulling his Batarang from my arm, I put my knife away; I wouldn't need it against him.

"You've been through quite a lot of pain, Timbo...losing your dear old dad, and losing your best friend. Hell, I'm surprised you're even finding the strength to live these days." I quickly blocked the shots from his staff with my arms, as I noticed the anger appearing on Tim's face.

"Then again, having Bruce as your adopted dad and being with the Titans helps balance things out for you. Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth-right?" I added, rolling with the punch Tim threw to my midsection; I quickly righted myself up, strode forward and shot a quick kick to his stomach!

I may not have gotten to Bruce earlier, but I could play Tim like an accordion; even if he could hide his emotions.

Bruised, yes. Bloodied, yes. Broken... not a chance.

A black figure rises from the rubble. A hand goes momentarily to his left side. The ribs that were cracked are now fractured. The pain evaporates though as he spots Robin engaged with Jason. His eyes narrow in rage.

From his belt he slips a batarang. With one expert throw, it's hurdling towards it target. Forty feet away, the blade embeds itself in a shoulder. It causes Jason to stagger, opening up an opportunity for Robin to render him unconscious.

I saw the Batarang embed itself into Jason's shoulder, which caused him to stagger a bit. Spinning my staff around for a moment, I swung it at the right angle-with just enough momentum to send him flying into another pile of debris! Almost instantly, Jason was out of the fight. A light grin crossed my face.

Batman had helped me out once more. I allowed myself to place a hand onto my right side; a few bruises would most likely be visible, but nothing broken. Thankfully.

The roar of the motorcycle's engine growled to a stop when he reached the Last Laugh building. The construction didn't look its best, but that was expected. Conceiling the 'cycle in a group of shadows, he tore his way up the building with stealth and agility. However, when Nightwing got to Robin and Batman, he discovered the dynamic duo both looking a little less than peachy but triumphant. "Late again?" he said, sounding annoyed with himself, his masked gaze falling to the debris acquainted Jason.

"Are you guys okay?" he asked, approaching them while keeping an eye on the debris where the former Robin was.

"Still not late to help us take out the trash." I noted, a faint grin on my face.

"Yeah, we're alright." I added, approaching Dick while making sure Jason didn't get back up unexpectedly. "We probably have a couple injuries, but they're not life threatening."

"Great! Better hurry so we don't miss the garbage truck, then," he replied, returning a slight grin of his own.

Nightwing nodded in understanding. "Good; I can't carry all three of you out of here myself," he said jokingly.

"You think Blackgate can hold someone like Jason?" I asked, the grin widening a bit at that moment-even if I figured that Arkham might be a safer place to put him.

"Carrying me wouldn't be too much of a problem; Bruce and Jason together, however...that would be a dilemma I'd rather not see you attempt." I added, a joking tone in my voice.

He's taking no unnecessary risks. Red Hood will make it to Blackgate. While Robin and Nightwing exchange conversation, an iron grip reaches to roll Jason face down into the street. Dropping to a single knee, he plants all his weight into the middle of his adversary's back. It's a well used and easily recognized control technique. He begins to bind Jason's hands and signals for Dick to start on the feet.

In the distance, the blare of sirens can be heard.

As I slowly came to, I felt an immense pressure on my back, as well as a Batarang in my shoulder; couldn't have been either Dick or Tim, since they were engaged in useless bird banter. It could only be Bruce.

I felt him start working on my hands and heard sirens in the distance. There was no damned way I was going to allow myself to be taken! I wrapped my legs around Bruce's torso and was barely able to fling him forward and off my back.

Getting back to my feet, I unwrapped my hands, tossed the Batarang to the ground, pulled out a grapple from my pocket and fired it upward toward the closest building.

"Sorry, Bruce..." I announced, just loud enough for him, Tim and Dick to hear. "...but, I don't think I'd look that good in prison stripes! 'Sides, being in jail really does something to your mind! Catch you three on the flip side!"

Within seconds, I was on the rooftop and out of sight. True, I had underestimated their teamwork now, but I would be back...!

It's the only way an individual could extract themselves from that kind of restraint. He knew it. Was prepared for it. The pressure to his broken ribs however was more than he was able to withstand. He rolls with the throw, hoping to lessen the brunt of the impact.

He's climbing painfully to his feet when Jason takes to the sky. Narrowed eyes follow the criminal to the rooftop. He makes no move to follow though. Another time, another place... when his ribs are no longer a consideration and the Joker is back at Arkham.

The sirens blare louder.

"The cave," he orders.
